Participation in competitions in our newsletter

To participate in the competition, you must answer the competition question by email to info[at]hirmerverlag.de before the end of the participation period. The winners will be randomly selected from all participants and notified by email the following day. If a winner does not respond to claim the prize within seven days after notification, the right to the prize will expire and a replacement winner will be drawn from the remaining participants. Winners will be notified via the email address they used to submit their answer. The names of the winners will not be publicly announced. Cash payment of prizes is not possible. Prize claims are non-transferable.

Participation in competitions on our Facebook and Instagram channels

To participate in a competition on the Hirmer Verlag GmbH Facebook or Instagram channels, you must answer the competition question posted within the specified period. Our competitions on Facebook or Instagram are not affiliated with Facebook Inc. Hirmer Verlag GmbH is the sole contact and organizer. Winners will be randomly selected from all participants posting comments within three working days. If a winner does not respond to claim the prize within seven days after notification, the right to the prize will expire and a replacement winner will be drawn from the remaining participants. Winners will be contacted via private message on Facebook or Instagram. Cash payment of prizes is not possible. Prize claims are non-transferable.

Data protection in competitions

Additional terms of participation

All persons residing in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland who are at least 18 years old are eligible to participate. Employees of Hirmer Verlag GmbH and their relatives are excluded from participation. Participation is not dependent on the purchase of goods or services. Participation via competition agencies or automated mass entries is excluded and will not be considered when determining the winners. Hirmer Verlag GmbH reserves the right to exclude persons from the competition—even retrospectively—if there is suspicion of multiple participation, participation with false information during registration, or the use of unauthorized aids or technical manipulation, or if they violate these terms and conditions. In such cases, prizes may also be revoked and reclaimed.

Liability

Hirmer Verlag GmbH is not liable for damages caused by faulty or delayed transmissions, disruptions of technical systems, lack of availability of the website, incorrect or incomplete content and information, loss of data, viruses, or any other damages arising from participation in the competition, unless such damage is caused by intentional or grossly negligent actions of Hirmer Verlag GmbH or its legal representatives or agents. Liability for damages resulting from injury to life, body, or health, as well as under the Product Liability Act, remains unaffected. Liability in the event of a breach of essential contractual obligations, on which the participant may regularly rely, is limited to typical and foreseeable damages.

Miscellaneous

The participant is solely responsible for the accuracy of the data provided.
Hirmer Verlag GmbH reserves the right to terminate the competition prematurely without stating reasons. Should individual provisions of these terms and conditions be or become invalid, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions. The competition is subject to the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. All decisions are final.
